Is there any song you would never grow tired of hearing? If so, what is it, how long have you loved it, and why?

Well I realised the heating had gone of at 0500, so I got up and switched it on, so the house was lovely and warm this morning. I got up at 0700 and sat with the BBC news on. There was a Consultant on preaching about how men should not be aloud in the delivery room. What utter tosh, I think that being there strengthens the bond not only with the mother but baby too. Today I am planning a Spoons trip for breakfast :)Doctors this avo and then teaching this evening.

Are you planning to host Thanksgiving at your place or will you travel to see family and/or friends? Do you prefer a traditional menu or something entirely different?

As I am British, I don't celebrate Thanksgiving, so we do something different ie carry on as normal.

The Magickal Me

I am finding problems finding time and space to work atm, with a broken foot it doesn't help as I can't walk far enough to get into a decent park or anything. First thing in the morning isn't possible as I have Tristan then, and working with someone more Chaotic than me present energy wise could be rather bad

Well I only just warmed up

First off it was freezing, so we waited until we warmed up to go out at which point it persisted it down, we only went as far as the shop and my legs are soaked and my arms sore from carrying tristan (The Tank now)still Cornedbeef and brown sauce sarnies went down well.

Brian picked me up at 0810 as expected and with Frank and Mark the journey was enjoyable, I gave Brian his donation to petrol (or Diesil) went in and paid my £2-50 to get in. The first thing I noticed was that the hall was full of traders. LAM showed up but were the only real traders there. Amazingly the place became packed very quickly.

I bought the Following
- RSGB Handbook 2010
- Foundations of wireless. MG Scroggie
- HF Antennas, LA Moxon
- a 50mhz to 1ghz unballanced Balun
- a question mark Microwave transverter box perported to be made by Marconni
- A kenwood power supply with speaker

A very good day was had by all.

So a child goes into school and the school is informed by letter that the child is not fit for games and the teacher says tough your doing it, you find out later what can you do about it? Write a note expressing your "Extreme Displeasure" and use the link below to express your wishes.

Yesterday I started back on the Pregabalin, its not a nice thing to go back onto. Wierd dreams, loss of coordination. which is horrid. Didn't teach due to that, last night. Which meant I could hit the MBARS 2m net at 19-30 on 145.350.000 audio reports where 5.9 +60 which is good, seeming I was running 10w I did notice that Martin M0LCY comes through very tinny and trebble heavy, will have to mention that to him.

Tomorrow I am going to the RADARS Rally with Brian, on the lookout for a HF Antenna! I'd like to build a tapped Pancake but I really don't have a clue if it will work, so maybe thats a christmas project.

I've done some updates on http://www.m0zif.co.uk But I think a major upgrade is due there. also added to http://www.internationalham.com and http://mbars.internationalham.com whilst http://testserv.internationalham.com has been handed over to the Trimpell Sports and Social Club

Writer's Block: Instant attraction

Do you think romantic chemistry is instant or evolving? Have you ever given someone a second (or third) chance and lived to regret it? Have you ever fallen in love with someone you didn't particularly like or desire at first?

Chemistry is an instant hit, however it does shift paridigm regularly. I haven't been stupid enough to give anyone a third chance, I have a 2nd chance, but things where a little odd back then. I have fallen in love with someone I didn't originally like, it was a dare, and that got very messy over the whole period. Never again! on that score. I think if for any reason I found myself single again, I'd just not bother. Don't get me wrong I love Kath, sometimes though its painful to watch health deteriate.

OUCH my ankles

Well I think I've got a real issue with my ankles they are painful to move in any way at all, more annoying than that is the fact that I still have jobs to do that involve walking. Painkillers are not touching the pain which is deep in the bone of the joints.

Kath and Simon both had sleepless nights, Simon is at least awake, but Kath has had two bad nights in a row and many bad nights previous to that. I am really worried for her. It seems like an age since we've actually slept in the same bed at the same time :S I wish I could convince her to try and talk to a doctor about it but she won't :(

Tiz also Olivias eighth birthday today, where does the time go?

Neurologists appointment

Well the guy was running late As expected, and basically has put me on Betablockers to cut down on migraines, as far as memory problems go, he couldn't give a monkeys, my chances of recovering from M.E. are as likely as winning the Euromillions (His Words) as for the NeuroBorellia without evidence of borellia involvement, nothing more to be done. Tests to check this out or the Micoplasmal infections: Not required!

Thanks Doctor you've restored my belief in the NHS! really you have!

Feeling marginally better

So hows things going here, well I have a bug, thats did me in yesterday the entire day in Bed, not nice. I got DLA hearing results today, (well yesterday but not open until today) Middle and Higher rate... Result. The back pay will pay the gas bill (Just).

Further than that I am thinking of going to a hallowen bash at morecambe on sat night, with a bunch of pagans I know will see how I feel but until nearer the time I will say hmmmn maybe.

We're also having a new boiler in, however this meens major work, the boiler currently resides in the Shack (cellar) and its got to go in the kitchen (new laws) so the kitchen is going to get gutted and re-built. Luckly Kath has got the landlord to agree to paying for the new units. He's also agreed to pay for a new bathroom suite, and to let me knock a wall down. Hurrar strange man.

The Human Condition

  • Oct. 26th, 2009 at 10:16 AM

I've been watching and reading a lot of Science Fiction and a lot of archaeology recently, and its got me thinking about the human condition.

To be human you have to be some or all of the following
1: Racist / Speiciesist, This is part of what we are, be it a defensive thing or a learned condition. I know that Psychologists say its a learned condition that we don't have at birth.

2: Feel superior to everything else in the universe, after all God gave us dominion over the heaven and earth. So abuse it.

3: Our life is important the life of those around us is less important.

4: Gadgets, I have to have one of those... ERM no you don't but even cave man suffered from this

5: Belief that there is a divine being... even though Chaos says there is one / many / none.

6: We elect our Governments, but no matter what they do we will always complain, always incite others to rebel with us.

I've been re-evaluating my own life and here are my conclusions: I am not racist, speiciesist or discriminate based on "First appearances" I may dislike subgroups ie; chavs, but that doesn't mean that all of them are bad. I have many friends from different cultures, religeous beliefs and walks of life, I like them all, I am not homophobic in any way, I do not believe the press either. I try to learn and share what I learn, others may say they have done with learning and give up, more fool them. Gadgets: I have my Radios and my Pooter, as long as I have a sharp knife I can do without all the other stuff. Belief, I believe in Me, I do believe in the lifeforce of the universe including our own planet but not much more: except humans inate stupidity. Depose all governments, but what comes after? thats the worry
